Here is your chance to stop whining about blog entry titles.
Exactly. Besides, RB2 isn't that much of an upgrade - at least not enough to justify paying that ridiculous price again.
I compared game libraries and the best exclusives available at the time. Back then it was an obvious choice - X360 had more games and Gears kicked Resistance's ass. Now I'm looking forward to get a PS3 to play Sony exclusives (I'll wait for Killzone 2 reviews though). If I was buying a console now, I'd probably go with PS3 and upgraded my PC a bit (to play Gears 1 and Mass Effect).
I'm buying a PS3 when Killzone 2 lands (waiting for the reviews) and I would easily take a lower price over built-in Wi-Fi. A cable is cheap, reliable and my router is on the same floor as my consoles. There's a ton of cables behind my TV set - one more won't hurt.
Open Zone this way --->
CoD4 has 4-player split-screen in MP. But I still wanna get KZ2.
And teachers should stop giving A's, because no essay is perfect!
PlayStation brand is years older than Xbox and won 2 previous generations, slaughtering the competition. A decade of building customer awareness and loyalty, countless exclusives etched into the collective mind of well over 100 million gamers - that's a bit more than one-year headstart with a defective follow-up to a console with 25-mil userbase. Get over it, Sony is losing this generation to both Nintendo and Microsoft. A 100$ pricecut can fix this, but can they afford it? It would be a desp...
Skill is only reflected by single Achievements/Trophies (ones known to require actual skill) and not that much by the overall score. You can have a high GS or a lot of platinum trophies by playing crappy movie tie-ins.
I'm glad that fans on both sides agree that achievements changed console gaming. Cheevos and proper online service are what Microsoft brought to the table. Not bad for a newcomer.
If you're counting PS3, PS2 and PSP together, why not combine the sales of X360 and Windows-based PCs? It's MS after all.
Everyone's a "Mee too" corp. MS, Sony, Nintendo. So they're all pathetic?
You can play PC games on a TV, yes. But I don't want to carry my rig from the other room, connect it, then disconnect and carry it back to do some work.
You can use a gamepad on PC, but can you run the game using only a pad? Nope, you still need a mouse and a keyboard.
There's no split-screen (usually).
There are driver issues.
There's constant tinkering with the game settings to make it run smooth.
Basically, the PC's performance is better, but it comes at a cos...
Since both Halo 2 and Gears on PC sold like crap, I doubt MS and Epic are willing to lose more money (and weaken the Xbox brand). PC gamers are not interested in any of these franchises (although I did finish Halo 1 on PC), they also don't care about Halo Wars. Why? Because they have tons of shooters and strategy games much more suitable for their platform. Face it, the only people that want to see Halo 3 and Gears 2 on PC are kids that just want to bash X360 on the net, repeating "I'm g...
How often is OPM right with their rumours?
There should be a separate achievement for this. At least you can't just boost to get it.
This guy's acting like an angry teenager, calling everyone "f...kin' stupid fanboy morons, #^%$^#$#&!".
1. It's a new IP - that's half of the appeal of LBP. It's something new and fresh. Besides, a lot of new IPs sell good and they're not always hyped to be "the biggest gaming revolution evah!".
2. Only 4 days - you know, some games sell over 2 mil in half that time. Yes, they're the big boys of game sales. So was LBP hyped to be. And please, comparing it t...
It's just natural. Consoles are not "future-proof" by definition. You can build a cheap PC that will run circles around both X360 and PS3 right now. In two years console owners will ask for an upgrade and making the new generation backwards and forward-compatible is the only sensible solution.
So you're not allowed to use the word "Maddie" anymore?
"its leveling the playing field, due to the length of time that each console has been at market, and the only way to do that is by averages"
How about you "level the playing field" by taking Playstation brand's two-generation-long dominance into account? That's a lot of additional experience on the market, more brand loyalty, more established franchises, 1st party studios and a long history of working with 3rd party developers.
